Joplin's Java & Ragtime Cafe - Waukegan, Illinois
Posted on June 15, 2011This concert took place early June, 2011 at "Joplin's Java & Ragtime Cafe, part of "Family Piano Co." in Waukegan, Illinois. This was so much fun as the store's staff was so knowledgeable and helpful and let me pick which piano to play on. I chose a Mason and Hamlin, but could have easily gone with the Sauter too! They had such fine pianos at this store and I look forward to going back!

Box Factory for the Arts - Saint Joseph, Michigan
Posted on May 29, 2011Yesterday I gave a concert at the Box Factory for the Arts in Saint Joseph, Michigan. Diverse multi-instrumentalist Danny Dine joined me on two songs at the end. I performed all instrumental piano during the first set: ragtime, pop, stride, jazz, contemporary original pieces and in the second set I sang original and cover songs while playing my guitar, mostly folk music. It was a great turnout of local, roots-music lovers.
